On August 28, 2024, at the International Buddhist Academy (IBA) in Kathmandu, a group of 200 international students continued their TCP studies with His Holiness Ratna Vajra Rinpoche. On this auspicious Dakini Day, the atmosphere was filled with acts of kindness and deep appreciation for His Holiness’s teachings.
The day began with a mandala offering by a large international group, expressing immense gratitude for His Holiness’s teachings, friendship, and the unity he fosters. The generosity continued with a special lunch offering to His Holiness and the entire IBA community, graciously provided by Lama Rinchen and the dedicated Spanish group.
As the afternoon unfolded, our Australian sangha of 20 students was honoured with a precious audience and blessing from His Holiness. This moment of connection was a poignant reminder of our deep gratitude for our teachers in Australia—Khenpo Ngawang Dhamchoe and Lama Choedak Rinpoche—and the vibrant activities at our centres. We reflected on how fortunate we are to receive such profound teachings and to share the Buddhadharma within our communities, especially in times when loving-kindness and compassion are so greatly needed in our world.
With warm hearts, we send our prayers for the long life of His Holiness and eagerly await his return to Australia.
